Choosing the Right Band

I’m looking forward to diving into JukeBox live, cos’ I wanna know exactly what music each particular local band is playing. As a musician myself, I realize I “sometimes” have had to play songs that I didn’t agree would be “fan-friendly’ because I understand that a band is a democracy - but that doesn’t mean I want to see these types of bands play when I go out to hear music.

In the past, I’ve been to restaurants and outdoor events where groups that were labeled as “Classic Rock” cover bands threw in a country line dance song or two and then played something techo-current that wouldn’t be considered “Rock”. For my wife and I, when a Classic Rock band we go to see offers their listeners “deep cuts” of Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull, or B sides of Jefferson Airplane’s catalog, I’m not sure we wanna’ stick around to see that particular band.

For us, we are looking for a band that is playing familiar fan-friendly rockin’ tunes that we can sing-along and groove to. So with JukeBox live, we can easily dive into the App and see exactly what songs each band plays, so we can determine if going to see that particular band is worth our time and money.
