Building Relationships
There are several facets to the concept of a relationship between the bands and their fans. Over time, good bands get a following that usually comes to their shows regularly because they like the music they play and how well they play it. Retaining and growing that fan base is key to any band's success and one of the most challenging parts of having a band and fan relationship. Today, there are many different different ways a band can get the word out about their gigs, email, website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more. Because there are so many methods that make it hard for a band to be successful, it takes a lot of time and effort to keep them all cultivated. Usually, a local cover band doesn't have a manager or person dedicated to that task. It falls on the backs of one or more of the band members to get this done.
One way relationships are enhanced is to allow fans to request a song or do a birthday or anniversary shout-out. These actions are uncomfortable for the fan because they have to find a good time to talk to the band or slip them a handwritten note. This usually happens when the band is performing, which is an awful time for the band. With Jukebox Live, this is a snap, and all requests come directly from the audience/fan to the band's mobile device. Another relationship builder is to allow fans to give praise on how much they enjoyed a particular song or even the band as a whole. This is usually done during breaks or after the show with a pat on the back, hand shake, or maybe buying a round of drinks. Using Jukebox Live, the audience/fans can provide song feedback and 'like' the band on the app and share those likes with their friends. This creates a two-way virtual conversation using the Jukebox Live app that enhances the relationship, resulting in a larger fan base by doing nothing more than having the app.
